About Me

Kalbe Farma: The mission of PT Kalbe Farma Tbk. (”Kalbe”) is to assist Indonesians to achieve a higher quality of life by providing them with products that improve their health and well-being. The Company’s main areas of business activities are the production, distribution, marketing and packaging of pharmaceuticals, health foods and other consumer products. In order to facilitate these activities, it currently operates four main divisions: Pharmaceuticals, Health Food, Packaging and Distribution. Of these divisions, in 2005, Pharmaceuticals contributed to 53% of net revenues, Health Food 17%, Packaging 4% and Distribution 26%. Kalbe was established in 1966. While it has remained consistently focused on achieving its stated mission, it has undergone significant changes throughout its period of operation in order to continue to serve the evolving and developing needs of Indonesian consumers. In particular, while it continues to develop a broad range of Over-The-Counter (OTC) drugs, it has placed increasingly greater emphasis on its ability to provide a more extensive array of value-added generic and licensed drugs.
